Merit Badge Workshop

This day long session is held once a year.It is a great opportunity for Boy Scouts to help them earn a variety of Merit Badges.

 

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)
(formerly called Junior Leader Training Conference -JLTC)

This course is a must for new Senior Patrol leaders and Assistant Senior Patrol leaders or any older Scout in your troop that shows the potential for such a position to learn about leadership and the running of a Scout troop by the patrol method. Held at Winnebago Scout Reservation in the summer, this course is run by Scouts with adult guidance, just like a Scout troop would be run in their hometowns.

 

Den Chief Training

One of the best helpers for a Cub Scout Den Leader or Webelos Leader is a Den Chief, a Boy Scout who can help with activities, advancement, ceremonies, crafts and other den events. But the best Den Chief is one who has attended Den Chief Training to learn about games, songs, tricks, puzzles, and other things that help a Den Chief do a better job.
